Public engagement on regulatory approach to off-road vehicles

Public engagement is now open on the Government of Yukon’s proposed approach for regulating off-road vehicle use in Yukon. The Government of Yukon is also consulting with Yukon First Nations and transboundary Indigenous groups on the development of this off-road vehicle regulation.

The proposed approach to regulation will provide an effective regime to prevent, reduce and mitigate the environmental impacts of off-road vehicle use on public land, while recognizing the needs of responsible off-road vehicle users.

Yukoners are invited to share their feedback on the proposed approach from February 8 to April 8, 2019.

Employment opportunity: Cook for Community Centre.
Cook’s duties include developing and producing a Friday night Table d'Hote meal menu for 20-45 persons and/or a Saturday afternoon order-by-order Happy Hour menu for a varying crowd. This includes purchasing the groceries, prepping, cooking, plating, supervising wait staff and cleaning the kitchen in compliance with health and safety standards.
Hours of work generally do not exceed 12 hours total for production of the the Friday Night Dinner and 4 hours for the Saturday Happy Hour but may as required. This includes kitchen cleanup afterwards, including fridge and oven.
Remuneration is $22.00 per hour, plus $25 for trip costs to and from Whitehorse once a week to purchase groceries. Wage may be negotiable after consultation with board of directors. You don't have to do it every weekend... let us know what nights you would be available and we can probably work something out to accommodate.

Successful applicants shall have or be willing to get: RCMP Criminal records/vulnerable sector check; Food Safe Level 1 certification.

Commercial kitchen experience and/or formal culinary training would be assets. Email a resume or proposal to Greg:managermarshlake@gmail.com
