This month we launched CCLSWA Supporters! This innovative idea saw us invite all our #CCLSWASupporters to come and join us on World Consumer Rights Day.
In a packed out room, we enjoyed a keynote speech from Janine Freeman MLA. Her rousing speech alerted us to the importance of #CCLSWASupporters and she shared with the room all of our successes over these last few years.
The simple fact is if we continue to grow and develop into a centre of excellence we are going to need help! We are the only specialist consumer and financial rights free legal advice centre in WA, we’re the voice for WA and we need your support to make sure that voice is heard! The night was so successful, we crashed our website!
There have been some VERY exciting developments this month. Clare O'Neil MPShadow Minister for Financial Services and Patrick Gorman visited our office to announce that WA will receive 20 additional financial rights specialist lawyers!
The most important thing to know is that the money for these lawyers will come from a banking fairness fund, a levy the banks will pay to provide us with the funding we need!
In this video, Clare highlights that for the entire state of WA there are only 4* financial rights lawyers! It's quite staggering when you put it like that considering the amazing work we do.
