Caledonia Network News (CNN) is a new show that is produced entirely buy the 5th grade students of Caledonia Elementary. They deliver the news every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday to all of the students at Cal Elementary. Students assign roles, research for their reports, film their reports, and edit the show. Reports include: recess weather, school news, teacher spotlight, lost and found, birthdays, and life skill. These are just to name a few. A Caledonia Education Foundation grant in the amount of $1000 provided new camcorders, microphones, memory cards and batteries.
“The new equipment has allowed the students the freedom to film around the school and capture the events as they are happening. It has also allowed for students to edit and produce the show entirely on their own. Thank you CEF for allowing our students to grow as learners.” - Melissa DeHorn, 5th grade teacher
