March 2019

Marching Out to Reach More Families @ Hougang & Toa Payoh
On Saturday 26 January, our CareNights staff and volunteers went from door to door to reach out to the residents of Hougang estate, covering some 900 flats, sharing about the CareNights programme.

And on 23 March, our staff and volunteers went to Toa Payoh to assess the needs of the community for a CareNights centre in the neighbourhood. We are thankful for the many volunteers who came to help out.
Celebrating Every Individual

Every month, we organise a birthday celebration for our children, volunteers and staff at our CareNights centres. Parents are also invited for the celebration and encouraged to take part in a parent-child bonding session.

Within this first quarter of 2019 we have enrolled 27 students across our three centres in Bedok North and Sengkang.

More Volunteers Needed
Over the last two months, CareNights has conducted two induction sessions for new volunteers on the team. All new volunteers will go through the Common Sense Parenting® Training programme so that they are equipped to help families in the communities where they will be based.

This month, we launched a three-part video series featuring our very own CareNights volunteers to tell their heartwarming stories.
