This five week course offers the chance to improve your wine knowledge and palate in a relaxed, fun environment. 

Class sizes are kept small to allow for plenty of interaction. Classes run one evening a week (Wednesday) from 6:30pm - 8:30pm for 5 consecutive weeks and are held in the Wine House function suite.

- Wine evaluation techniques and wine terminology
- Grape Variety characteristics
- Winemaking
- Wine regions of Australia and New Zealand
- Wine and Food matching
- Cellaring Wine
 

The Art of Cheese and Wine Matching
Saturday, April 6 2:30-4:30pm


Discover the ancient art of Cheese and Wine Matching in this informative and delicious exploration of the gastronomical holy trinity: Wine, Cheese and Bread!


This tutored class will feature fine wines and gourmet cheeses, allowing you to explore practical examples and discover several "yes, no or maybe" rules. Walk out of this class with a new gourmet skill and never be confused again by which wine to pair with what cheese.
 

The class will run in the Wine House Tasting Rooms at 133 Queensbridge Street, Southbank on Saturday April 6th 2:30pm - 4:30pm.

Palate Trainer

Learn all about wine evaluation techniques and how to improve your palate awareness.

 

This highly informative session will teach you how to accurately assess the character of wine including appearance, aroma and taste.

This is a practical session where you will taste 7 premium wines as you are guided through how to distinguish taste sensations across the palate.

The class will run in the Wine House Tasting Rooms at 133 Queensbridge Street, Southbank on Saturday April 27th 2:30pm - 4:30pm.

Back Vintage Fine Wine Night

Join us at this unique Back Vintage Fine Wine Night, featuring White and Red wine from Australia, Italy and France..

We have dug into the cellar and brought out some fine wine for this exciting Tutored Tasting. Featuring White and Red wine from Australia, Italy and France, this is a fantastic opportunity to try wine with some age. As well as trying wines rarely seen, this class will give you insights on what to expect when tasting back vintage wines, how to pick "cellarworthy" wines, as well as how to cellar and handle older wines.

This class will be held in the Wine House tasting room 6:30pm - 8:30pm Friday 3rd May 2019. The price includes 7 wines, nibbles and tuition..
