Adrenal Fatigue & How To Fix It

Could Stress Be Causing Your PMS?


Cortisol, the main adrenal stress hormone, is made from progesterone, so every molecule of cortisol you produce when you are under stress depletes your progesterone levels.

The more stress you are under the more female hormone imbalances will occur as your progesterone levels drop.

My female clients with PMS symptoms like cramping, headaches, sweet cravings, mood swings and irritability often respond really well to a lab based adrenal hormone program. This is because as we normalise cortisol levels, progesterone levels also improve. 

Sweet Potato Breakfast Skillet


Did you know that your stress hormone cortisol is a “glucocorticosteroid"? In other words, one of cortisol’s major functions is to work with insulin to keep your blood sugar stable. If you skip a meal, eat too many carbs, eat sweets, over eat, or even under-eat (food in general - or even, in some circumstances, under-eat carbohydrates), your cortisol can go out of balance, which can lead to adrenal fatigue and overall damage of your metabolism.

Nutrition is essential for both healthy blood sugar levels & stress hormones. This Sweet Potato Breakfast Skillet is a super easy recipe which balances your macronutrients (fat, carbs & protein), to set you up for a balanced day!

Trust me: this is delicious. You’ll want to have it for breakfast, lunch, dinner AND dessert! If you’re sensitive to eggs – just leave them out. Or if you’re vegetarian, take out the meat, and add in more eggs.

Wim Hoff Method Fundamentals Workshop


My husband, Chris Bellette from Move Strong Gymnasium, and I are excited to host a Wim Hoff Method Fundamentals Workshop in Devonport with WHM Instructor Huon Feitscher!

This method is for breaking out of a sympathetic nervous system state and getting back to being more in a more parasympathetic nervous system state.

In English that means going from a stressed state to a non-stressed state - as such, it can be amazing for helping you heal from stress-related health conditions such as Adrenal (stress hormone imbalance) Fatigue.

This has tremendous effects on your emotional, mental and psychological profile. It also has an impact on your performance and athletic abilities too. During this workshop, you will learn to make five makeup products, which you will get to take home:

*You may, however, want to bring your foundation that you're currently using, as it's easier to create the right colour foundation for you, by trying to match it to your current foundation (rather than looking at your skin-tone).
