Dear EGRMS Families,
As the warm weather returns, it is great to see so many students walk and bike to school. Now is a wonderful time to review basic safety precautions related to crossing streets, wearing helmets, and staying alert (e.g. no devices while biking, crossing streets, etc.) Two safety videos were produced in collaboration with the City of East Grand Rapids last fall which were shown to all students and discussed in BRIDGES class. 8th Grade PSAT Testing Tomorrow (Tuesday, April 9)
All 8th grade students will be administered the PSAT assessment tomorrow starting at 8:00 a.m. Besides a good night’s rest and a hearty breakfast, arriving to school on time is critical as once testing begins students cannot enter late. The PSAT replaces the MSTEP English Language Arts and Math assessments for 8th grade students. In advance of this testing, students setup College Board accounts during their high school transition day. These accounts will serve students throughout high school and student PSAT results will available for immediate access once the College Board releases them.

Thank you to everyone who supported our Supper Sack food drive in support of Kids’ Food Basket. Over 1,039 pounds of food was gathered which created over 2,000 dinners for students in the greater Kent County area. It was refreshing to see every BRIDGES Team working together to build these meals the day before Spring Break.
