Community Announcements

Host Families Needed for International Students

Families are needed for next year to host international students attending area schools. "I think it would be fantastic if a Temple Israel family decided to host a student," said Jackie Walsh of Shelburne Falls, coordinator for PAX Academic Exchange. Students do really well when their host family is part of a strong community, she said. Hosting is a life-changing experience for everyone. Our students from Spain, Mexico, Belgium, Thailand, Italy, China, Germany, Korea and elsewhere have enriched the school experience for students and staff. To speak to a host family or the coordinator for the PAX student exchange, please contact Jackie Walsh at 413-625-9413/shelburnejackieb@gmail.com.
