About Lance: Lance W Conrad has credits with artists spanning the world. Lissie, DeVotchka, The Fray, Modest Mouse, Owl City, Dessa, Lizzo, Belle & Sebastian, The Jayhawks, and over 200 more graced Lance’s studio in Northeast Minneapolis between 2008 and 2018. As producer and freelance music composer, he has placements with Netflix, ABC, NBC, CBS, HBO, and more, and companies like Target, Nike, Miller Brewing, Volcom, and more. As an avid collaborator, he has co-written work with both independent and major label writers including Dan Richards and Liam Payne (One Direction), Jerry ‘Wonda’ Duplessis (Fugees, Melissa Etheridge, Platinum Sound Studios), and Ashley DuBose (NBC’s The Voice). His reputation as one of Minneapolis's most referred event DJ's speaks for itself as he has played over 450 successful events. In the spring of 2016, shortly before Prince's tragic passing, he was honored with an offer to engineer at Paisley Park. Come 2018, he picked up and moved into a room at Black Label Music in downtown Minneapolis.

May 2019 MSP Audio Geeks meetup

Monday, May 20, 2019

The May MSP Audio Geeks meetup will be on Monday, May 20th from 7-9pm. Nathan Lively of Sound Design Live will be putting on a presentation about sound system tuning.

Wouldn’t it be great if you could see sound? But wait, we can, with an audio analyzer. Nathan will demo some basic sound system optimization processes using a two channel audio analyzer (like Smaart) and we’ll discuss what is and isn’t possible through measurement.

Save the date and keep an eye out for more details.

Audio Society of MN

"The Audio Society of Minnesota is a noncommercial hobby organization incorporated in 1979. We present monthly meetings from September to May/June of each year where we discuss, learn about, and experience the latest and greatest audio gear and software. Of course, we also operate this web page.

We support all audiophile interests. We have tube freaks and solid-state freaks, people who only listen to digital and people who would be happy if digital had never been invented, folks who have never seen an LP in their lives and others who have thousands, members who think nothing of making major expenditures for audio gear and others who are interested in the best bang for their buck, some with advanced degrees in engineering and some who don't know an Ohm from a Watt, those who think of their hobby as a science and those who think of it as an art. But we all have one thing in common: We love music and we love to hear it accurately and emotionally recreated in our homes.

Join: Individuals may join the ASM at any time by paying the annual dues of $25 at any meeting. Club dues for those who join after our December break are just $15."

The Audio Society of MN is currently on its summer hiatus. To find out more, check out their website at audiomn.org or their Facebook page at facebook.com/audiosocietyofmn.
