MEET 2019 GOVERNOR'S AWARDS ARTIST CAROLINE ROWNTREE
2019 Governor's Awards Artist Caroline Rowntree
Caroline Rowntree has been creating digital prints since she retired from the graphics business and relocated to Columbus six years ago. Her graphic design background provided a natural segue into using computer drawing programs. Although she uses photos of living landscapes, gardens, flowers, and vistas as references for her work, the finished prints eventually evolve into an imaginative swirl of color and composition resulting in abstract, yet recognizable, scenes from nature.

As the 2019 Governor's Award artist, Caroline has created nine original pieces that will be awarded to each winner at the luncheon and award ceremony on May 15, 2019. You can reserve your seat at the event today at rebrand.ly/register-ga-19.

The following artists are featured in this exhibition: Deborah Bewley (Bowling Green), Sandra Palmer Ciolino (Cincinnati), Judy Kahle (Wauseon), Aimee Lee (Cleveland), John Lefelhocz (Athens), Janice Lessman-Moss (Kent), Migiwa Orimo (Yellow Springs), Christina Pereyma (Troy), Jessica Pinsky (Cleveland), Ian Ruffino (Columbus), Judy Rush (Bexley), Petra Soesemann (Cleveland Heights), and Mary VanWassenhove (Columbus).
