FCC Chairman Ajit Pai Tours Capital Region Businesses and Programs
On Monday, the Metro Chamber and Valley Vision hosted FCC Chairman Ajit Pai for a tour of the region’s agricultural tech programs. Multiple programs, businesses and agencies participated as Chairman Pai learned first-hand about the challenges and opportunities facing the region’s agricultural industry, its rural broadband and business resiliency.
During the tour, the FCC Chairman met with farmers, innovators and advocates at both Muller Ranch and AgStar in Woodland along with Wilson Vineyards/Silt Wine Co. in Clarksburg. This is one of numerous tours the FCC Chairman has taken across the country to understand the communications issues facing rural communities. The tour is a follow-up to conversations and meetings with the FCC during Capitol-to-Capitol and the interest by the FCC Chairman to visit and tour Valley Vision’s AgTech Pilot program.
