Dear Friends, Pastors, and Prayer Partners,

It has been a crazy and blessed few months. I have not written since October. I was in the 10/40 all of October and November speaking, teaching, and preaching (around 180 times in those two months). I came back to America jet lagged and exhausted but so thankful for all that God did.

Souls were saved every week, young people were called into ministry, and the Holy Spirit moved in some powerful ways. I have rarely experienced as many consecutive weeks of fruit in the ministry as during those two months. I believe the difference was so many people praying for that trip. God’s hand was upon me in evident ways as I ministered in venues as diverse as private house churches, Bible Colleges, and large public schools.

I took some time when I returned to the USA in December to prepare for a busy 2019 schedule and also to visit my girlfriend and her family in Canada as well as my parents. While with my parents in Southern Florida in the beginning of January, I preached for Land O’ Lakes Christian school and had the opportunity to talk with some pastors about deputation. I will be embarking full time on deputation next year as I have many weeks filled already with conferences, missions trips and camps this year.

Brother Dave and I enjoyed a revival at CityLight Baptist in Missouri during January and I believe they will be taking me on for support. I left on the twenty-third of January for the 10/40 Window once again. I was able to preach in orphanages, churches, evangelistic outreaches, schools, and minister in a Bible college. Souls were saved weekly by God’s grace, young believers were strengthened in their faith, and the block class on personal soul-winning yielded fruit the first time the students went out to share the gospel.

From the 10/40 country I was in I flew through Japan, where I was able to spend time with a fellow WCBC grad while on a 12 hour layover, into Hawaii for a mission’s conference with Dr. Don Sisk. Ohana Baptist Church hosted and was so kind to me. This good church will add me for missions support, Praise the Lord. I really enjoyed the Island while I was there preaching. Pastor Surface and Pastor Caleb were gracious and gave me plenty of space to recover from the jet lag and do some Hawaiian Hiking and snorkeling. God's creation is so amazing and enjoyable Dr. Sisk is really cool also.

After the conference I visited Joanna Alipalo, my girlfriend, in Vancouver Canada. She is attending Faithway Baptist College in Toronto, but they allowed her to fly home for her father’s birthday. I was blessed to be able to make time to see them for a few days. We met an Indian lady named Navdeep when I visited in December and invited her to church. Joanna has been faithfully keeping in touch with her and she attended church for the first time with us Sunday. She said the gospel really made sense and she was amazed at God’s love in Christ. Yet, she is not ready to see Jesus as the ONLY way to God. Please pray that the Holy Spirit will help her overcome the stumbling block of Christ’s exclusivity.

I am in the airport now preparing to fly back to Florida. Next month I leave for five weeks in Malawi Africa. Brother Eric Chapman and I are preparing to try a new outreach program in the poorest parts of Malawi. We will be going into some of the remote schools attempting to open avenues for the gospel. He has put much work into this and invited me to come help and preach the gospel to the youths.

My next trip in the USA will be two in weeks.I will be visiting Woodside Baptist Church and Castleview Baptist church. After these meetings I fly to Toronto and from there to Africa. Please pray for the outreach in Malawi, more financial support as I hope to transition my base to the 10/40, and God’s guidance in my relationship with Joanna.

Thank you for praying for me, supporting me, and encouraging me. God has been so good and I desire the nations to know His love and grace the way I do. Have you shared God's love with someone recently?

God bless you in Jesus’ name,

Evangelist Micah Self

1 John 4:7-12
