Prosperity!

This Sunday, March 24th

Celebration Service, 11:00am - 12:15pm

Take a romp through Unity’s teachings and how to apply them. Get your questions answered and be prepared to question your answers! This "participant driven" conversation is lead by one of Unity’s leading authorities on Metaphysics for the 21st Century. Paul’s genuine passion for clarity and precision guides his students to awaken their awareness and deepen understanding. People have commented on how Paul makes the teaching more understandable and practical in daily life.
Rev. Dr. Paul Hasselbeck currently serves Unity Institute as Spiritual Education and Enrichment (SEE) Faculty. He is the author of Point of Power, Heart-centered Metaphysics and Applying Heart-centered Metaphysics. He co-authored Get Over It and Get Over These with Rev. Dr. Bil Holton. Paul also co-authored PowerUP, a 12 Powers text and card set, with Rev. Dr. Cher Holton.  Visit Paul's website to learn more about his work.

Saturday

UCP Work Day
9:30am-2:30pm

Spring is upon us and it's time for a Unity Center of Peace workday!  Our first of several workdays is scheduled for this Saturday.  We have many tasks to complete, both inside and out.  If you feel called to serve our beloved community, by participating in this workday, please contact Debbie Hall at debbie.h@unitychapelhill.org for more details.  We appreciate your kind help in keeping our building and grounds both functional and beautiful!

Coming Up

RUMI BY CANDLELIGHT
Thursday, April 4 and Friday, April 5
7:30-9:30pm

Save the dates!  Each year, a collective of musicians and poets gathers to choose their favorite poems by Rumi, and compose original music to accompany them. They then create a beautiful and flowing performance, and present it in a calm, candlelit space.  We hare happy to announce that they will be returning to UCP for this year's Triangle performance with two dates to accommodate their local fans.  This year's lineup includes Majid Bastani (poetry in English and Farsi, percussion), Betsy Bevan (piano, percussion), Will Ridenour (kora, percussion), and Daniel Chambo (flute, vocals, percussion). There is truly not another performance like it!  Check out the event listing for complete details.

JESUS THE GOOD SHEPHERD CEREMONY
Sunday, April 7
12:15-1pm

Does Jesus resonate with you?  If so, you will want to join us in this sacred ceremony we're planning for the first Sunday in April.  A member of our congregation has generously donated this beautiful symbol of Jesus' loving protection, and we will be walking out to the Sacred Spaces to commune with, offer flowers to, sing, share readings and be inspired by the immense love that is there.  Plan to join us directly after the service.

HEALTHY, HAPPY SOLUTIONS - YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT!
Saturday, April 20
11am - 3pm

In this series of plant-based cooking classes, we will learn how to prepare delicious raw and vegan meals made with easy-to-find, everyday ingredients.  Some of the items we will cover in this first class include: how to prepare a rainbow salad, how to prepare a delicious avocado and sesame seed dressing, how to prepare amazing toppings with seeds to add to salads, soups, rice and desserts and how to prepare your whole foods shopping list.  Presented by Marlene Medina, who taught whole plant-based food principles and holistic living for over ten years in her vegan, vegetarian restaurant in Ecuador and in group classes in the comfort of her clients’ homes.   Investment: $45.  Visit the event page for complete details and to register.
