Announcing our new CEO Katya Matanovic

The Board and staff of Pomegranate Center are so excited to announce that Katya Matanovic has accepted the position as our new CEO! Katya possesses a rare combination of Pomegranate Center wisdom, organizational vision and executive ability, and embodies the values and mission of our organization. Under Katya's leadership, we have a lot planned to continue to support our clients and community.  We think it’s especially fitting to announce this during March - the National Women’s History month, and that the 2019 theme is “Visionary Women: Champions of Peace & Nonviolence.”  Read More...

Let's work together to end bad meetings!

Seattle Spring Workshop
May 9, 10 and 13

Pomegranate Center believes facilitators – people who are fierce defenders of a process that is collaborative and inclusive – are heroes. Fierce facilitation is a form of leadership not often celebrated, but so needed in our times. Join our revolution.

The Pomegranate Method gives people the tools and methods to build collaborative, inclusive, decisive projects that lead to alignment. By participating in one of our workshops you learn how to:
  • Find common themes and build agreement

  • Craft a shared vision for the future — what “ought” to happen

  • Facilitate fiercely in order to protect the process and respectfully include everyone

  • Design a project (of any size) from the very beginning to be more collaborative, creative and aligned

  • Incorporate even the smallest changes into your daily meetings and gatherings – at work, home or with your community – that can make decision making more fun and harmonious

A message from Pomegranate Center and Milenko Matanovic:

We are disheartened and disturbed at hearing the news of the two terrorist attacks at mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand that left 50 people dead and many more injured. The current Christchurch Mayor, Lianne Dalziel, is a personal friend of Milenko’s going back to 2015.

Hate battered Christchurch with violence, just as it has many cities across the US. Is it preventable? Violence is the last stage of a mindset that sees differences as obstacles.

We at Pomegranate Center will continue to do our work to change that attitude and make violence less necessary.

We send Mayor Dalziel, and the people in Christchurch, our love and support to be united in opposing violence, and show that differences are valuable gifts, necessary for helping us understand our complex world.
