Oh, hi friends!

Isn’t it funny how we mirror the people around us?

If you’re on a project with five people, and none of them show enthusiasm for the work, will you be able to carry the momentum yourself? Or will you succumb to the blahs and start caring less, too?

And when you’re surrounded by optimistic people, ready to do their best work, will you raise your standards, too? Probably.

What that means, I suppose, is that it matters even more what you are bringing to the table every day—because you’re looking in their mirror, but they’re looking in yours, too.

YES. I did this years ago and the results surprised me so much. Try it.

My new song-to-work-to is “Oxygen” by Rafael Casal (who wrote and starred in the excellent film Blindspotting last year with his buddy Daveed Diggs). Soothing and propulsive, all at once? Sure! Here it is on Spotify for your repeat pleasure.
