DONOR CORNER
Parish of Cambridge and Waterborough, Diocese of Fredericton
For the past few years this small parish has chosen the season of Advent to fundraise for PWRDF. Using PWRDF’s World of Gifts guide in 2017, parishioners donated to buy kits for Community Health Workers. In 2018 parishioners decided to donate towards goats – and they haven’t looked back! During their 2018 Advent Challenge they raised $1,190. With the 6:1 match from the Government of Canada, that was enough to purchase 37 goats, five bicycle repair kits and two piglets. They wanted to share their success to encourage other small parishes to get involved.
