Welcome Message

While our spring weather this year feels like it’s going backwards, Chatham-Kent 4-H has been rushing ahead!  We already have a number of clubs completed or nearing completion, like the Maple Syrup, Veterinary, and Archery clubs.  Lots of other clubs have just started or will soon be running; there is something for everyone.

Spring and summer marks a busy time for 4-H in our county and in the Province.  There are so many opportunities available for members, leaders, and alumni this year.  Please take the time to visit 4-H Ontario and 4-H Canada to get more information about these events…more importantly register for the ones available to you and experience 4-H outside of Chatham-Kent.  4-H has so much to offer.   So, what opportunities are there to apply for?  I’m so glad you asked! Please check out all of the Upcoming Events!
Remember, for just this year, Chatham-Kent 4-H will reimburse a portion of your registration fees for Career Mania and Youth Adventure Camp if you share your experience of the event at a county event.

In addition to all the amazing Provincial activities we also have many county events coming up. There is also an overnight bus trip currently being planned for Chatham-Kent members in August (watch for more information).  There are a lot of opportunities that I hope every member and leader takes a chance and tries at least one of them this summer.  Remember our motto is ‘Learn to do, by doing’ and this is the perfect summer to do just that!

Kris McNaughton, C-K 4-H President
