We are aiming to send a newsletter every 4 weeks, however sometimes the information is more time sensitive and while we do not want to fill up your inbox, we do want to keep you informed. Our newsletters will be under the subject header: "Keeping you Informed" and we are pleased that our list of 'subscribers' is growing. If there is information you want us to share more or less of, we are open to your feedback.
Town Council has returned to Town Hall with the re-opening of the Council Chambers. The renovation has improved accessibility and seating capacity. As a reminder agendas are posted at the latest Thursday prior to Council or Committee meetings. All meetings are open to the public.
Stay well,

Provincial Government invites feedback on
Regional Government Review
The Ontario government is inviting feedback from the public on its Regional Government Review, which includes Halton Region and its associated municipalities.
In a press release issued by the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing on Wednesday, March 13, the province said it would hold an online consultation that would be open to all people who live or work in the areas included in the review.
In February, Oakville Town Council unanimously passed a resolution endorsing the effectiveness of the current two-tier government in Halton and encouraged the province to provide opportunities for residents to share their thoughts. Review the town's news release. Have your say! The deadline to complete the province's online survey is April 23, 2019.
Share your thoughts on governance, decision-making and service delivery functions in these regions. Surveyhttps://www.ontario.ca/form/survey-regional-government-review link
This community residents based group has put a tremendous amount of effort into creating a comprehensive website to inform you about the Regional Governance Review. We continue to encourage you to be informed and to make sure your voice is heard! https://www.weloveoakville.org/facts.

Cornwall Road Construction
Work is continuing on Cornwall Road between Morrison & Chartwell. Contractors have completed the underground storm water management tank pond immediately west of Morrison and are currently installing the underground storm water management tanks in the south boulevard just east of Chartwell. While not visible from Cornwall, the size of the underground tanks are evident in the picture of the excavation above. Road work on the eastbound lanes, median and permanent traffic signals will begin in early April when the weather warms up. Construction will be fully completed in July.
In order to facilitate the rehabilitation of the Brookmill Road Bridge over Joshuas Creek, Brookmill Road (between Devon Road and Constance Drive) will be closed to vehicular traffic from April 1, 2019 to approximately mid August 2019. Pedestrian access across one side of the bridge will be maintained during the project. Local access to properties located between Constance and Devon will be maintained through construction.
