Latino Student Alliance Plate Sale Build your own plate with options that include tamales, tacos, rice, beans, horchata, desserts, and more! Pre-Order deadline is March 21st at 5 PM and the pick up date is March 23rd from 11-2 PM. Nominate your outstanding peers, faculty, and staff members to be recognized at our CDI the End-of-The-Year Awards Banquet. Descriptions of the awards are described under the links. The deadline is March 31st.
The CDI is seeking essays that highlight the academic excellence of CDI students. Submissions can be creative or academic essays of any discipline. Winners will be honored at the End-Of-The-Year Banquet. Click here for details. The deadline is April 1st.
SUU STEM Leadership Board The SUU STEM Leadership Board focuses on organizing, staffing, and overseeing STEM Center events and programs for K-12 students in southern Utah, including the STEM Tutoring Centers. These events are designed to promote fun, exploration, education and expression in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) for all students who participate. STEM Center events help recruit students to SUU STEM programs and majors within the Walter Maxwell Gibson College of Science and Engineering. Click here for the application and more information.

We are looking for students to share their experiences so please come by the CDI or email us at diversity@suu.edu if you would like to be involved with this campaign.
CDI Student of the Month(March) The Center for Diversity and Inclusion (CDI) is excited to highlight some the amazing students who are a part of the T-Bird family. This year we will begin a Student of the Month initiative where outstanding students can be nominated and featured throughout the month. Nominations will be accepted from any SUU faculty, staff, or student. Winners will be chosen by the CDI team and will be recognized physically in the CDI, in the electronic newsletter, and will be awarded a gift card in appreciation. OUR MISSION The Center for Diversity and Inclusion (CDI) exists to validate the multiple identities present on our campus, while integrating the voices and experiences of marginalized people. We provide emotional, social, and financial support to students from historically underrepresented communities (e.g. students of color, LGBTQIA+ students, first-generation college students, etc.)
The CDI collaborates with campus partners to foster a learning environment that respects multiple perspectives and differences through multicultural clubs, workshops, trainings and cultural programming. The CDI invites members of the campus community to join in conversation about how to cultivate an inclusive, safe, and welcoming campus culture.
