WELCOME TO THE APRIL 2019 NEWSLETTER
Happy Earth Day! This 49th anniversary of Earth Day comes at a time when recognition of the need for historic action to address climate change seems to be building every day. With versions of Green New Deals under discussion at the Federal, state, and local levels, and community interest swelling, it's a great time to read this "Energy and Equity" piece, which reminds us how crucial it is to join efforts to protect the environment with efforts to eliminate poverty and racism.

Common UNACCEPTABLE items include paper coffee cups, plastic bags, padded envelopes, and dirty food containers. Not sure if an item is accepted? use the “What Do I Do With..." tool at recycletompkins.org.
