The Multi-Sport Complex at Browning Elementary and Silver Spring Neighborhood Center, one of the CNI area's great new assets, is up for a People's Choice Award at the Milwaukee Awards for Neighborhood Development Innovation (MANDIs)!
Vote here and help spread the word by sharing with your networks (use #MANDI19 on social media). The three finalists with the most votes will each receive $1,000, as well as recognition on stage at the MANDIs on April 11th. The Multi-Sport Complex is also a finalist for the Brewers Community Foundation Public Space Award.
All of the MANDI finalists are inspirational examples of positive change in Milwaukee's neighborhoods, and we're thrilled to see the Multi-Sport Complex in the mix.
Johnson Controls, the Milwaukee Bucks, Milwaukee Public Schools, Silver Spring Neighborhood Center and the Housing Authority all worked together to bring this new amenity to the neighborhood.
When the MANDI selection committee visited Browning Elementary earlier in the year to learn how the complex is benefiting the neighborhood, they were taught the Browning Cheer by the elementary school's Junior Coaches. Check out a cute video here. As the Junior Coaches teach, "Yes we can!"
