Note from the Executive Director

Happy Spring everyone!

With the warmer weather here (or at least with the hope that it is approaching in Michigan!) I am reminded that #KAAN2019 is quickly approaching.

We have a fantastic line-up of performances, speakers, and activities this year that includes a stage reading of "The Korean Drama Addict's Guide to Losing Your Virginity" by May Lee-Yang; panel of podcasters, such as, Kaomi Goetz, Damon Davis, and Adam Goodman. A viewing of Deann Borshay Liem's documentary, Geographies of Kinship: The Korean Adoption Story, and a keynote address from Nichole Chung, author of the acclaimed memoir, All You Can Ever Know.

We have a new registration format that you can check out on our website www.WeAreKAAN.org. It streamlines the registration process, and allows for quicker processing.

With that in mind, if you or someone that you know would like to apply for a scholarship to attend KAAN this year, please make sure you complete the application by Monday March 25, 2019.

I am looking forward to seeing everyone in Minneapolis in June!

- Katie Bozek
