WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

CMAS testing 2019

It's that time of year again...CMAS testing. CMAS testing begins on April 8th and we would love your help in making this a positive experience for our 3rd-8th grade students. We are looking for volunteers to provide healthy snacks and letters of encouragement. Please drop off snack donations and letters to the front office the week after Spring Break. Your letter of encouragement can be written directly for your student or inspire an entire class. Be creative!

We will also be looking for parent / guardian volunteers to help with a prize table during 3rd-8th grade lunch times. More details and a sign-up will follow after Spring Break.

For planning purposes, please find the CMAS testing schedule here. Please try to schedule doctors and other appointments accordingly, as make-up testing is not ideal and students will miss classwork to make up CMAS testing. We appreciate your cooperation in making this a positive testing experience for all students.

Parent's Night Out on Friday, April 5th

Take a few hours to enjoy some freedom to get home chores done, quiet shopping, or even a peaceful dinner. Consider sending your children from 5-8pm to our Parent's Night Out Event! WHO: All staff, students, parents and guardians and community members
WHY: To come together as a community to celebrate and learn about the importance of reading and writing throughout our lives

Don’t forget to wear your PJs & bring your favorite books to read!

Health Day!

The Highline Academy SE Health Day will be on Wednesday, May 8th (which is also the National Bike and Walk to School Day). We are currently recruiting presenters who are interested in presenting on a health topic. Details are on this flyer. If you are interested, please click here to fill out the form by March 22nd.

Innovation Learning Updates

Innovation Learning over Spring Break

Innovation Learning is excited to provide full day programming for all six Spring Break days without school, Monday, March 25th through Monday, April 1st from 7a.m. - 6:30 p.m. If you would like your student to attend any of these full day programs, please register them by Thursday of next week so that Innovation Learning can plan and prepare for all students. Contact customer service at 866-239-3661 if you need any assistance with scheduling.
