Welcome!

I absolutely, positively, definitely, double definitely DO NOT want to tell you what the sermon text is for this Sunday.  No Way! You have probably heard it a billion gazillion times.  If you haven't heard it that many times, you have probably, at the very least, seen it played out in plays, movies, art, books, and songs.  And, why not?  It's a very rich, deep, wonderful, wowzer of a text.

The challenge is that so very many folks already have it figured out.  Or, at least, they think they know.  You can rotate the "characters" around as to who is whom (or is it whom is who?), but ultimately it's about: Abundance?  Resentment?  Forgiveness?  Birth order? How NOT to spend your inheritance? Grace?

Whoops!  I may have revealed too much!

Oh, what to do with a well-worn parable?  Trust we will hear what we need to hear?  Have some fun?  Because families are fun.....right?  Oh, speaking of which, we have a Healing and Wholeness service on Sunday at 4 pm.  Just in case that is helpful information.

Sunday morning we will be accompanied by The Gratitude Jazz Band and HaoYang Jiang will play some Chopin.

Be sure to read the newspaper or visit the Gazette-Times website this Saturday, March 30th to read my Interfaith Voices column!

Peace,

Rev. Sharon Edwards

Cultivating Church discussion
Sunday, April 14th at 11:15 am (DH)

As we reflect this Lent on what we need to cultivate and let go of in our own lives, we also want to offer some times to discuss what we as a church want to let go of and what we want to cultivate.
