Tourism Wayfinding Signage Project
Have you seen the Tourism Wayfinding Signage installed around Armadale’s City Centre?
Over a two year period I’ve been working on various projects with the tourism team that have been initiated from an audit of tourism signage across 540kms of Perth Hills Armadale. It has now resulted in the installation of eighteen tourism wayfinding signs.
The signs are designed to help people find their way from one place to another and are based on research that shows wayfinding signage enhances the experience of visitors to City spaces. People are able to more easily orient themselves in a space, determine a route to their destination, and are reassured they are on the right path or confirm they have arrived.
Visitors who arrive into Armadale via bus or train can now more easily navigate around Armadale and along Jull Street to the Visitor Centre. At the Centre they will find out what’s happening within the region, along with attractions, accommodation and dining options to encourage them to stay longer.
