Anticipation...
It is now only two weeks from Easter, just a week before Palm Sunday and everything in our readings, ministry, fellowship, outreach and communications is brimming with anticipation as well as energy of what we are experiencing already.  It is an incredibly powerful tension of already and not yet – of anticipation, of preparing for this next part of the journey, as well as letting go.

This Sunday among our scripture readings we will hear distinctly in the Book of Isaiah what God proclaims, “I am about to do a new thing.”  Actually, there is so much more, for we hear: “Do not remember the former things or consider the things of old.  I am about to do a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?” (Isaiah 43:18—19)  This message is more than comfort and hope to one distinct people and time, it is a message intended for you from God, who can see beyond see by our own limitations and penetrate our hearts and to point to what we can become as God’s beloved.  It is part of the message for the ages and it is part of your story!  I can’t wait to share more with you this Sunday.  Come discover more for yourself.

I’ll see you in church!

The Story
9:15 a.m. • Parish Hall
Come and see is a great way to describe what else is happening Sunday…The title for Session 24 of The Story says it all: “No Ordinary Man.”  As we move through the New Testament, this Sunday is a great way to jump in and join as we explore in a fresh way who Jesus is from scripture and how knowing Him changes everything. More than simply history, we can see implications for our own life here and now and find our story within God’s Story.  Come and discover more for yourself this Sunday (9:15a—10a) in the Parish Hall.  Come and see, come and explore, come and grow!  No experience necessary, friends are welcome, questions and your perspectives are encouraged!
