The past month has been quite busy and fruitful for the æternity ecosystem! As the saying goes, time in crypto moves much faster than the rest of the world. It certainly felt that way for the æternity team!

End of Migration Phase 2 and Next Hard Frok
The end date for Phase 2 of AE token migration and the date of the next scheduled upgrade of the æternity protocol were both announced in March. Phase 2 will end on May 7, while the next fork will take place on May 28.

æternity Ventures Update on Starfleet 2
Fourteen blockchain startups were selected to participate in Starfleet 2. The accelerator program kicked off on March 11 with a week-long intense training at the end of which only eight were selected to continue further. These eight blockchain projects will pitch their visionary ideas on April 11 at the second Demo Day. Their audience? æternity's top management, investors, media partners, the æternity community and the entire world via global LIVE streaming. Do you want to know which startups will receive $100k? æternity Development 101
In March, our friends from dacade.org launched the first comprehensive course dedicated to æternity's tech features focusing on developers. The course is free and allows developers to understand the advantages of the æternity protocol and smart contracts, get familiar with essential dev tools, and build their first æpp. Curious devs that successfully go through the final challenge will receive 50 USD in AE tokens. |

æternity Documentation Hub
After much effort by the dev team (thanks, Pegah!), a technical guide to æternity's technical resources was created and launched. It is mainly dedicated to æpp developers and miners, but it also includes information about the æternity protocol, Sophia smart contract examples and tutorials. The main goal of the Hub is to help æpp developers get started with æternity. |

Product Development Updates
With the goal to keep the entire community up-to-date with the progress of æternity's product teams Emin, æternity's CPO, launched a weekly update call that is recorded and shared in the Forum. In addition, all product teams will share progress updates, also in the Forum. |

But Wait, There is More!
- Sascha, æternity's lead blockchain engineer, delivered a detailed presentation of the æternity protocol during the IC3 Retreat event in Switzerland.
- æternity and Erlang Solutions organized a developer meetup in Krakow, Poland which featured a number of presentations by core dev team members. You can find all presentations in this YouTube playlist.
- æternity's æmbassadors organized two events in March. Marco held a presentation about the AE project in Stuttgart, while Femi talked about æternity during a meetup in Lagos.
- The æternity Crypto Foundation announced that it will donate 1000 AE tokens per month for Telegram Tipping using the TipBot.
- An AMA session with Dimitar Ivanov, one of the core developers working on AE's State Channels, was announced in the blog. The online event took place in Telegram on 04.04.2019 at 11:00 AM CEST.
- A great piece about Facebook's plans to introduce own cryptocurrency was shared by Vlad in the Blog.
- The first community-prepared blog post on the subject of how blockchain will enter the mainstream was published in the Blog. Three more to come!
- The second part of Finder's essays on æternity was shared on Finder's website. The focus of this part is blockchain governance.
- More Blockchain from the Block podcasts were held and shared.
- Members of the æternity team, including the founder Yanislav, participated in the Token2049 conference in Hong Kong, a formal event in Vienna organized by fintech.li, and in the C³ Crypto Conference in Berlin.

Yanislav, æternity's Founder, and Nikola, æternity's CBO, participated in one of the largest blockchain-focused events in Asia - Token2049. Yani took part in a panel discussion dedicated to smart contract platforms. You can watch a recording of the talk here.
