Special Edition

Dear Friends and Ministry Partners,

No one understands an MK like another MK.  This summer our family has been invited to serve a group of 60 Missionary Kids from all over Europe, just like I did in Budapest five years ago.
This time, Heather, Erik, Joey and Ellie will also be on the team as part of Tychicus Ministries, which provides children's and youth ministry to MKs all over the world.  In fact, we were the first missionary family that Tychicus ever visited.  This time we get to be the givers, not the recipients!
Europe is a nice place to live, but a very difficult mission field.  Church planting in Europe is like plowing rocky ground.  It requires a lot of faith and patience and it is often discouraging.  I remember the tears shed even by teenage boys five years ago as they recounted the hardship of being the only Christian in their high school and the labor of their parents to advance the Gospel.

This year's World Team Europe Conference will be a breath of fresh air to the parents and the MKs.  Our ministry will allow the parents to focus on the sessions while their kids are safe with the Tychicus team doing Bible lessons, fun activities and worshipping God together.

What parents wrote us after the last WT Europe Conference:

"Our son really valued your conversations at an important time in his life.  He is doing super-well these days.  He has recently gotten involved with an urban ministry with kids, which he is perfect for." (April 2019)

"My wife and I are rejoicing in the changes that we see in our son's life.  Budapest was a tremendous experience for him.  He is reading his Bible with more passion than ever." (September 2014)
We're excited for our kids to have this opportunity to do hands-on ministry.  They help here in Haiti when they can, but my ministry is not very "kid-friendly."  In Europe, this summer, they will give of themselves to other MKs.  The fact that these are other World Team'ers makes it all the more special.

Of course, Heather loves MK's and she's looking forward to meeting more WT missionaries.
The cost per person is about $2500--plane tickets, lodging, food, transportation and supplies.  Our kids have saved up their Christmas and birthday money for this and Rock County Christian School in Wisconsin has already raised funds toward our trip.  We're asking if you can help us too.
Tychicus can offer a tax-deductible receipt.  Click here for online giving options, or send a check made out to Tychicus Ministries. In the memo write: "WT Europe 2019" and include a note stating that your preference is to sponsor the Christensen's (per IRS regulations)
Mail the check to:

"A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed" (Proverbs 11:25).  That's the generous spirit with which our family wishes to serve the missionary families this summer.

Our friends at Tychicus have helped us many times and we are excited, in turn, to bless others.
Please pray that we will indeed serve God by serving others and be a blessing to all.

Thank you for your support in every way.

Love and God bless,

Sean, Heather, Ian, Erik, Joey and Ellie Christensen
