The Health Alliance Network is a convening community partnership-based organization of stakeholders, residents and community leaders, and community-based organizations and institutions, that addresses health disparities in poor and low-income communities in Washington DC.  Programs include: Quarterly Health Event Series, Diabetes prevention training, Youth Mental Health First Aid training, Chronic Disease Self Management Program training (Stanford Univ CDSMP model), Health Advocacy Day, Collaborations between partner organizations, and Health Cadets—a multi generational (16+), multidisciplinary approach where Cadets receive varied education and certified training and then are utilized as part of an overall prevention, education and training model in the broader community.
The Health Alliance Network is based in Ward 7, but recently created an Alliance Network in Ward 5.
