1. Tonight Friday April 5th and Saturday 6th at St Michael’s Hall, Elmwood Road, 
St Michael's Players  present "Colder than Here" by Laura Wade - a black comedy about life, death and not coping very well with either. Tickets available online now.
            At the Clayton Hotel, ‘Chiswick Through the Camera Lens’ is a free exhibition of photographs, shot in Chiswick and brought together by The Chiswick Calendar. It runs till Saturday May 11th and includes photos by Julia Fullerton-Batten, Kelvin Murray, Richard Bradbury, Jon Perry and others.

2. On Saturday April 6th at 10.30am at St Michael & All Angels Church, Gardening volunteers are sought to work on the church herbaceous border. Please contact Susan Hunt or just turn up: email -

            Also on Saturday April 6th from 12-1pmon Acton Green opposite Turnham Green tube station, the Southfield Police team are offering a free bike marking service. More information from: southfield.snt@met.police.uk

3. Also on Saturday April 6th, from 9am to 5pm - and on Sunday 7th, from 11am to 4pm - for the first time the National Archives Kew will be open for the whole weekend. You can see the new free exhibition about the Cold War, with tours at 11.30, 1.30 and 3pm, and have a roast lunch in the restaurant. The exhibition will run until the end of November 2019, and will be open on the first Sunday of every month.

4. On Sunday April 7th at 10am at St Michael & All Angels Church, there's a Parish Mass. Preacher: Canon John Record. Plus Creche and Children’s Church.
            Congratulations to Bea Bradley, winner of the Children’s Church competition to design the estate agent’s boards for WaterHarvest, raising money to provide clean water in a village in India. You can see her design on our Charities page
            This Sunday is the last chance to add your name to the new St Michael & All Angels Electoral Roll. If you haven’t yet done so, please pick up a form in Church or download one here:

Please return it on Sunday, or to the Parish Office. 
         At 6.30pm at St Michael & All Angels there is Evensong. Preacher: Mthr Eileen McGregor continues the Lent series, ‘How I Pray’.

5. Also on Sunday 7
th, starting at 12.30pm, there’s a Lent lunch at the home of Carol and Torin Douglas supporting St Michael & All Angels’ Lent Appeal. If you’d like to come, sign the list at the back of church. If you can’t come, you can now donate online
            This year’s Appeal is in aid of Christian Aid's Community Partnership Programme in Ghana. We have personal links with Ghana and the target is £5,000 over two years. If we can raise the last £2,000, it will trigger matched funding, which would raise our £5,000 donation to £20,000! Give online on our

6. Also on Sunday 7th, it’s the University Boat Races. At 
Chiswick Pier, you can watch the start and finish on their big screen and see live action as the boats pass. From 12.30pm with BBQ, food and drinks being served. The women’s race starts at 2.15pm, the men’s at 3.15
            
RNLI is the official charity of the Boat Race for 2019 and income raised will go to the Chiswick Lifeboat Station.
      
7. On Tuesday April 9th, from 7pm-9pm, 
St Peter's Centre for Mindfulness and Spirituality presents a Mindfulness & Creative Writing Workshop led by Elise Valmorbida and Vanessa King. Access deeper levels of creativity and write with authenticity. Book online HERE.
 
8. On Thursday April 11th at 8pm at the Polish Centre (POSK), 238 King Street, W6 0RF. 
The Arts Society Chiswick's next lecture is The Beauty & History of Frames by Julia Korner. Bar open from 7pm. Guests welcome for a fee of £10. Details 

9. On Saturday April 13th at 6pm in St Michael & All Angels Parish Hall, Bridge String Quartet and actor Christopher Kent present Haydn: Seven Last Words with readings of classic and contemporary poetry, in aid of the Samaritans. Tickets online here £10 - £15 at door.

thPetros Singers is recruiting tenors and basses and holding open rehearsals and auditions at its first two rehearsals of term. See website for further details and  contact membership@petrossingers.org if you’re interested in joining. They rehearse at St Peter’s Church, Black Lion Lane, W6 9BE from 8-9.45pm and offer free bursaries for singers aged 16 to 27, subject to audition.

- Friday April 26th from 7.30pm at 
St Peter’s Church, Black Lion Lane, W6Auction of promises for the church, with bubbly and substantial canapes. Bidding starts at 8.15 pm led by Sotheby’s Auctioneer Philip Hook.  Variety of lots, holiday homes, dinners, golf days and signed drumsticks by Roger Taylor (Queen). Tickets £10 at door. 
 
- Monday April 29th. 
St Michael's Men's Society has organised a joint outing with St Michael's Women's Group to Royal Windsor Racecourse. Join us for a free and fun day of racing at this beautiful course.
