Please email or call your State Senator and ask them to vote YES on 2 crucial education bills
1) HB 727/SB731 (the Build to Learn act). This bill would generate an additional $2.2 billion for school construction projects statewide over the next 4 to 5 years. We have aging schools and overcrowding. Every county in the state would benefit from the bill.
2) HB 1409 (The School Facilities Surcharge) just made it out of the House. It needs to get through a Rules Committee hearing and vote before it will make it to the Senate for a floor vote.
Although these representatives have expressed support of these bills, they need to know that we are paying attention and that this is very important to us. Contact them by Sunday evening as the vote is Monday.
Locally we had about 30 people, several hundred in DC. Natiionwide there were about 300 rallies.

Our Postcard Brigade prepared 250 cards for Pam Iovino and the Red2Blue Team made 300 phone calls. Thanks to Senator-Elect Iovino’s hard-won victory, and our five flips in November, we’re only three seats away from flipping the entire Pennsylvania Senate blue. We've identified races to help for fall 2019 in VA.
