Hej mine danske venner,
Spring is here and it's pretty delicious.

So it's time to get out and hear love songs and sad songs and happy-sad songs and songs about mountains and birds and also about girls lying at the bottom of rivers and tarot cards and stuff, right?!

In which case, what are you doing next Wednesday 10 April?

Why don't you come to the legendary Jazzhus Montmartre to hear me and Mr. Bjarke Falgren play to you. (We may also be joined for a couple of numbers by a special guest whose name begins with Jasper).  It's just 100kr in advance, or 190kr on the door.

Wednesday 10 April - // BILLETER  // Jazzhus Montmartre, Store Regnegade 19A, 1110 København

I've just returned from 3 weeks of touring, kicking off in DK (with Bjarke) and then to the UK (with Jasper Høiby + Graham Coe) and it was joyous, exhausting, hilarious, magical and everything in between. You can follow my adventures on instagram (@ana_silvera). Here's me and Bjarke having coffee on the porch of Dorte and Lars after the show they organised for us in a charming former grocery store in Mors.
Also - here's the new video from our session at Brorsons Kirke, a song of mine called Halos, featuring Bjarke on the viola. Every time I perform this song it feels like a kind of prayer - I see the frozen furrows of winter fields and the birds wheeling in circles in the evening sky, or a pale morning mist descending on the dawn, like a benediction.

It's a song addressed to and about my brother, about the altered air left in the wake of loss... about bravery and resolve... how remembering him is not done in broad sweeps but in those tiny, precious details - a ring of smoke, a strand of hair on a pillow, the slant of a certain light, a moment of tangible love amidst chaos.

Hope to see you Wednesday & god weekend!
xx
