https://www.startuptablelands.org/event/big-data-for-small-business/#tickets

Big Data is a Big Mystery for most of us. It seems to be something for governments, multinationals, and tech giants.

Steve Williams will help us demystify Big Data into a small mystery!

We will also workshop how to apply Big Data to our Small Businesses.

This is an introductory workshop to a big and fast-changing topic so be prepared to learn lots but not necessarily resolve every mystery!

A light lunch will be provided. Hot drinks will be on hand but if you have to have barista coffee, please bring it along.

Do you have questions about Big Data?
Email them to us here: chair@startuptablelands.org and we'll answer them on the day!

Hi <<First Name>>,
I’m thrilled with the great participation and engagement of our new Drivers!
Our latest addition is Stella Chiu Freund as CwD coordinator.
Welcome, Stella, and thanks for taking this task on!
Please, all of you CwD followers (and fanatics) let Stella know if you want your business showcased or if you have a short talk you want to give or you know of someone who might give a short talk at CwD.
That also holds if you want to help Stella organise/coordinate or if you have some suitable new practices to demonstrate and lead for the group.
I’ll leave the details for Stella!
And here she is!
With gratitude for all of you wonderful Drivers!
Christine

Dear CwD friends,

Our regular CwD schedule of the third Saturday of the month this April falls on Black Saturday - Easter week. The committee has decided to move it to the 27th of April so not to put a damper on your long Easter break. Hope the 27th will be good for everyone. Because we all want to be there, right?

I am Stella, the girl with the big smile and I have happily accepted the role of CwD coordinator. As such, you will be "feeling" my presence because I shall be sneaking my way into your life by either a Facebook message or an email to ask if you'd like to participate more - either help with an introspective exercise or do a short presentation of your business or ask what yummy food are you bringing?! Either way, it will be a fantastic way to be in touch.

Now on to the activity for the CwD morning:

Startup and Innovation Tablelands (ST) has its fingers in a fair few pies---especially for such a small group of volunteers.  One of the offshoots of our Future Agro Challenge November 2018,  event was making contact with the Farmer2Founder startup.
F2F will be here on 9 April, as arranged through ST and you can read all about it below.
Calum Kippen our dedicated TRC Economic Development Officer (EDO), who is also one of our hard-working ST Drivers,  has turned the F2F event into a day filled with three farm innovation focussed events.
Thus we will have an increased focus and likelihood of generating lots of interest and good attendance that we could not have achieved without Calum’s fantastic organising and wonderful collaboration with ST.
What we haven’t rectified is that ST’s logo has been left off the TRC promotion.
Rest assured that ST initiated this event and that, even if you are not a farmer, there may be some interest in F2F and/or the other two events that day as there will be a focus on entrepreneurialism throughout the day.

Tablelands Regional Council is hosting an Emerging Agriculture day of events on Tuesday 9 April for farmers and other agribusinesses.

This free, fully catered day will feature three events for local farmers to learn about new industry opportunities and have their say on how Council and industry can work together to support agribusinesses in our region.

All events will be hosted at Destiny Cafe in Atherton – you are invited to stay all day, or attend the events that most interest to you!
