UVA Acts is a new interactive theatre program for departments and schools that promotes preventative practices for fostering equitable, vibrant spaces for working and learning at UVA. Faculty can now book a performance for the fall semester through September 15. Two programs are currently available--The Inclusive Teaching Toolkit and Search Committee Signals--with another on the way.

The CTE held its first-ever CDI 2.X event on Specifications Grading. 40 instructors participated in the August 7 session, where they designed specifications grading systems for their courses.

We're also working on future CDI 2.X events. Stay tuned for details on our Advanced Collaborative Learning Techniques session coming later this fall.

CTE Consultations
Signups for consultations begin next week. Our trained CTE faculty, graduate, and undergraduate consultants can meet with you to discuss general teaching topics, course design, classroom-based research, and curriculum (re)design. We are also able to observe your classroom and solicit feedback from your students. The priority deadline to submit a request for the semester is Friday, September 6. We will send out an email with more details next week. Learn more about these services.
