We would like to send a huge thank you to the Wells Fargo Foundation for a recent grant of $3,000. This grant will make it possible for our fashionpreneurs to attend camp on a scholarship! We would like to thank Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina for sponsoring our camp for the past 3 years. We would also like to thank Hanesbrands Inc. for hosting a "sewlab" for our girls this year. Our Fashionpreneurs will have the chance to sew with the support of Hanes designers! Help us say farewell to Ebony. She has been a great asset to LEAD Girls as she has been working to gain experience through communication and leadership. LEAD has allowed her the opportunity to communicate with different stakeholders, in order to build her community of networking. Ebony has learned how to challenge herself with different task that may have caused her to step out of her comfort zone, but also allowed her to develop the ability to think on her toes. She has been doing very well within this organization and we are very pleased with the impact that she has had on LEAD Girls of NC. After Lead Girls Ebony will be furthering her education at Winston Salem State University to get her BSN in Nursing. We are very excited about her next endeavors in life and we wish her nothing but the best!
