Sunday Worship, April 7, 9:30 & 11:15am
What are the connections that make us whole? This service offers a multiplicity of connections from an extensive collaboration that developed to create this service. The UUCD choir will bring music from a full Saturday of singing with UU Northern CA choirs. Jaki Levia Conklin will interpret Joy Harjo’s poem, Remember, through movement/dance.  Poet, Joy Harjo identifies as Myskoke/Creek First Nations, Jaki Leiva Conklin identifies as Anishinaabe of Ojibwe decent. And did I mention that we will speak of what is sacred and God?

EvenSong: Wholeness
Gathering: 6:45 - 7:00pm  EvenSong 7:00 - 7:45pm  Music Director. Alison Skinner & Rev. Beth
Evensong is a brief worship experience preparing us for the transition from day to evening, and the weekend into the week. Invite friends who would benefit from slowing down and witnessing some beauty. Small group ministry groups can use the service as a special evening together. You can participate or let the music flow around you. Candle light, repetitive singing, readings and ritual.

The final Evensong for the season will be May 5. We’ll break for the summer, and begin again October 6.

Wow! This is my last Sunday before maternity leave! As I enter week 38 of this pregnancy I'm so grateful for the support of this community along the way. I'll be in the office next week finalizing plans, and then I plan to focus on my new family until my return on August 4th. All the leaders of the programs I'm most involved with are prepared to take on extra responsibilities in my absence. Rev. Beth is the clergy contact for Pastoral Care and Membership, Alex is the clergy contact for Religious Exploration with Kate Logvy focused on children and Catlyn LeGault on youth. With Mandy Dawn's office support, our staff makes an awesome team. Many of you have asked how you can help after the baby is born... and we will surely let you know! Thanks to your generosity at our baby shower we are well-stocked and have everything we need ready to go. The car seat is installed, the diapers are ready, and the freezer is full. We are also lucky that our parents will be here for extended stays to help us with meals and laundry and naps for the first 6 weeks, and of course we're lucky everyday that my brother and his family live just down the street. Daniel will not teach over the summer so the two of us have lots of time to acclimate to our new family life. Please send us lots of positive energy and prayers, we always appreciate knowing that we are in people's thoughts.
