Spring is here and the wine garden is open

Wine tasting on the patio

From the polar vortex to blizzards, it's been a long winter. But spring is here! We had some great weather a few weeks ago and some brave wine tasters took advantage by enjoying wine in our wine garden.
The snow is now gone and we've got all of the tables and chairs ready for your use. We've got a great view of the hillsides and the patio is the perfect place to sit and sip. Order some food and enjoy a pizza or a cheese plate.
We have tables and chairs on the patio and also have picnic tables on the lawn for you to use.
The tasting room will resume seasonal hours on Friday, April 19 and our tasting menu will expand to 16 wines. We will be open Friday and Saturday from noon to 7 p.m. and Sunday noon to 5 p.m. You can sample three wines for free or up to 10 wines for $5.

Spring births on the farm

Spring is a time of birth on the farm, but it's still a challenge with the cold weather. We had a ewe lamb born on St. Patrick's Day that had a tough start. We found her cold and unable to get up, so we warmed her up with a heating pad and a heat lamp before tube feeding her.
The little girl -- we named Shamrock -- is now doing well and prancing about.
We also had two calves born in the past month -- a heifer and bull. The mother of the heifer calf was quite protective of her baby so we had to be very careful for the first few days. Both of the fuzzy little bovines are doing well.

Battering Ram returns to the shelves

A South American favorite has returned to the shelves. Battering Ram is a Chilean carmenere, the national grape of that country. Carmenere is a French wine grape that flourished in South America.
We're also closing out some well-aged vintages of our red wines, so be sure to stop in and take some home.
Winemaker Chris will be pouring wine at the Osseo Merchants Festival for the Field wine and beer event from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 13 at the Condensery above Northwoods Brewery in Osseo.

New room prices with optional breakfast

Brambleberry has started new room prices in response to feedback from our guests. Many who stay don't want a big breakfast or want the option of hitting the road early in the morning.
We now feature a two-tiered pricing model on our three guest rooms. We will offer breakfast to those who request it in advance but also offer rooms for $30 less for those who don't want breakfast.
Visit our rooms page for more information.
