We are excited for the upcoming 100th Anniversary Catalina Council Scout Show that will take place at Double V Scout Ranch the weekend of April 12-14, 2019. We are looking for volunteers to help staff the STEM Pavilion area and run fun hands on activities.
The activity stations all run from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 13. They are:
Chemistry Lab - make Polyurethane foam and slime and bouncy balls
Robot Races - operate a robot race track where youth can race remote control robots against each other, or navigate an obstacle course.
Stomp Rockets - youth make their own rockets, then launch them - we need people to help oversee the rocket building and launches.
Drone Flight - provide instruction and supervision for youth flying remote control drones.
Mechanical Leverage - need help running a mechanical forces demonstration, which involves pulleys and levers to lift large weights.
Youth who volunteer should be 13-years-old and higher. Please email Laurene Huelsman at laurene.huelsman@scouting.org if you are able to volunteer for the STEM Pavilion.
