Shelter Animal Rescue Group Summer 2019

SARG news

Summer is here and with it all the fun of the dog park, the pool, amusement parks, hikes and all kinds of different vacations. My family and I just got back from our summer vacation, we spent a week at a dude ranch in AZ! Lots of horseback rides, ATVs and dust! I'm not kidding about the dust - the desert is dusty! But, no mosquitoes either! That was something else. I've never been able to hang around outside at night with out being eaten alive by those suckers. I think that was the nicest part of our stay. Hanging out by the camp fire making s'mores, bonding with the kids and not a mosquito in site. I'd highly recommend a trip to AZ. I hope all of you enjoy this summer. Send us some pictures of the adventures you have with your family including the furry ones. Unfortunately we didn't drive and so couldn't take our big labradoodle, Sunny. However, the ranch had some wonderful furry pets we were able to hang out with. Maybe next vacation will be closer to home so Sunny can go too.

Adopter News

Evie Clair is beginning to look so much more like the amazing poodle she is. She looks so happy in her forever home. Thank you, Daphne, for sharing your lovely adventures with us. Here is what Daphne wrote to us:

Starting our summer of adventures together and can’t wait to see what Evie thinks of all the fun!
Evie’s first camping trip with the family.
She’s done great except for being scared by a storm that rolled through earlier this evening. (I guess hearing them in a camper is quite different than hearing them inside her home because we had no clue she was afraid of storms)
She’s loved walking around the campground taking in all the sights and has been the most polite little lady when meeting new people.

Blankets for Pets

Blankets for Pets:

Marilyn Halbreich belongs to an organization called Comfort for Critters. The members make fleece, knitted, and crocheted blankets for rescue animals in a foster home. The animals can take the blanket with them when they are adopted. She sent us 24 of these blankets that have been given to fosters. Three of them have already gone home with adopted animals.
