Join us in Conversation with U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi

The LSE US Centre is very happy to announce that we will be hosting the 52nd Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, in conversation on Monday 15 April 2019.  Join us for this conversation between Speaker Pelosi and LSE US Centre Director Peter Trubowitz; venue to be announced.

Tickets
 
LSE students and staff are able to collect one ticket per person from the Student Union shop, located on Lincolns Chambers, 2-4 Portsmouth Street from 10am on Tuesday 9 April. These tickets are available on a first come, first serve basis.
 
Members of the public, LSE alumni, LSE students and LSE staff can request one ticket via the online ticket request form which will be live on the event’s website listing from around 6pm on Tuesday 9 April until at least 12 noon on Wednesday 10 April. If at 12 noon we have received more requests than there are tickets available, the line will be closed, and tickets will be allocated on a random basis to those requests received. If we have received fewer requests than tickets available, the ticket line will stay open until all tickets have been allocated.

 Nancy Pelosi (@SpeakerPelosi) is the 52nd Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, having made history in 2007 when she was elected the first woman to serve as Speaker of the House. Now in her third term as Speaker, Pelosi made history again in January 2019 when she regained her position second-in-line to the presidency, the first person to do so in more than 60 years. Speaker Pelosi is the highest ranking woman in American history and the most powerful Democrat in Washington.
 
Peter Trubowitz (@ptrubowitz) is Department Head of International Relations and Director of the US Centre at the London School of Economics and Political Science and Associate Fellow at Chatham House, Royal Institute of International Affairs.
