Conference Update

The 53rd Annual Conference of the CSA-SCS will be held from Monday, June 3 through to Thursday, June 6, 2019 as part of the Federation of Humanities and Social Sciences Congress this year taking place at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, British Columbia.

We hope to see you there!

Over 240 sessions, panels, plenary, cluster meetings, and special events have been organized to enable our members to share research, discuss current issues, and network with peers.

Search the program by day, research cluster affiliation, participant, session or paper title theme or keyword.

Annual Banquet and Award Ceremony

The Annual Canadian Sociological Association Banquet and Award Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at the University of British Columbia. 
Join us to honour our 2018 and 2019 Award recipients!

The event is open to delegates and their guests who may order one of two delicious entree options.

Tickets are required and available until May 1 or until sold out.


Best Student Paper Awards

Awards are presented annually by the Association as well as Research Clusters to graduate students whose papers, presented at the Annual CSA Conference in the year of the award, are judged to be the best among those received for adjudication.   Learn more
