Dear friends,

welcome to our first HECTARIUM newsletter. We are just a jiffy away from kicking off our crowdfunding campaign and to wrap our first prototype. We are quite excited and slightly overworked... get back to you on that. Meanwhile something about us, relevant information worth reading, a few motivations and inspiration for a sustainable lifestyle, plus a happy song. We hope you are as excited as we are at the HECTARIUM team

HECATRIUM NEWS

Today we'd like to share a short clip we shot in Quebec at Santropol Roulant, a community food hub.  There we talked to Samuel Olsund about how he became a pro and what he would be growing on his share of HECTARIUM land. Watch it here and find out why goats are more relaxing than sheep.

RECOMMENDED READ

Why both biodiversity and good soil are so important for our daily food production and how we managed to fuck up both during the last decades – this piece form THE GUARDIAN is worth reading.

GOOD ADVICE

Comes from our new friend Selina Juul, Danish founder of the Stop Wasting Food movement. We recommend to watch her inspiring talk about food waste traps and how to avoid them.

LISTEN TO THIS

There are zillions of love songs out there. And some about farmers, farming and vegetables. Our song of the week.

Stay tuned for a big announcement and more info in our next newsletter.
With love from Anke, Diego, Ivan and all of us at
Hectarium.
