Utilising behavioural sciences to improve health and wellbeing event

Registration is open for this collaborative event brought to you from key partners including, PHE North West, HEE North, Champs Public Health Collaborative, Lancashire County Council, Cheshire & Merseyside Health & Care Partnership & Manchester University.

Public health challenges are often behavioural and sociological and evidence indicates that social science solutions work. How do we therefore integrate this evidence into public health decision making and service delivery?

Purpose of the day:
We will take a behavioural sciences approach to understand and explore the recently published PHE Behavioural Sciences Strategy 2018 and collectively understand how we can embed behavioural science across the North West of England.  We will also showcase examples of how this is currently being done across the North West to help generate ideas.

Target Audience:
Senior public health leads & commissioners in local authorities. NHS health improvement services and leads.  Service managers & clinical leads including nursing, medicine, psychological professions, pharmacy, dental, allied health professionals, & health care scientists working across health & care.  CCG commissioners, academia, voluntary & independent sector working in health care / health improvement sector.
