The BC Food Web is a freely-accessible website designed to increase access to food systems research and resources for use by the public, policy-makers, and producers. The website is run through the CSFS with Dr. Lisa Powell and hopes to change food systems using  high-quality, cutting-edge research.

Our new volunteer sign-up platform is feeling a little lonely and needs your eager eyes. Now that Spring has finally sprung volunteer shifts are finally available again. Volunteer in the fields for planting or harvest, at our spring pop-up markets for sales, or join in the fun at some of our events.

UBC Farm volunteers are always paid in love and vegetables, so come and join one of the largest and most committed community of sunshine loving, veggie-eating, and food-pun aficionados.

UBC Farm Seeds for sale on campus

 
UBC Farm seeds are now easier to purchase than ever before! In addition to the BC Eco Seed Co-op, you can now buy our seeds at the UBC Bookstore, the UBC Botanical Garden shop, UBC Sprouts as well as each of our Farmers' Markets.


New Pop-Up Spring Markets


We have egg-citing news! Our new hens have been busy laying eggs and we will be sharing the abundance at our pop-up spring market. Come find eggs, winter kale, cabbage, beets and more from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 9th & 27th and May 11th & 23rd in front the of UBC Bookstore.
 

2019 CSA Orders


Our produce and flower CSAs are returning for 2019! Our produce CSA includes 20 weeks of fresh, organic produce to feed your family, while our flower CSA provides members with a large bouquet of seasonal blooms for 10 weeks. Community Workshops

Koji & Kombucha - Fermented Delights


Next week on April 3rd and 5th, Kimiko Suzuki & Andrea Potter will help you learn about the deliciously healthy world of fermented foods. Kimiko will teach how to use Koji, an ancient fungus to prime foods with an extra flavor and health kick. Andrea will then cover the Vancouver classic, Kombucha, and help you learn about the elusive SCOBE (hint hint it's an acronym). Bring your appetites and excitement.
