Ministry Update

82nd Street Theatre  recently closed their fortieth show -  Mary Poppins, Jr. (Check out our ad below from the North Royalton recorder celebrating 40 shows and our 40th show).
We were very pleased to sell out 5 shows for Mary Poppins and had overflow seating on most shows.

We ministered to over 46 cast members and their families! Teens were invited and participated in our "Clue Night", Youth Lock In and "Shamrock Sunday." Twelve of the students either had no church affiliation, or did not attend regularly. During the course of the show, we not only connected with the students, but were able to connect to parents who assisted in everything from set painting to costumes to serving as ushers or serving refreshments during the shows.

During the closing celebration of the show,  a veteran 12th grade student said, "Pastor Rocky referred to us as something he called the '82nd Street Family'… that's really what you all have become for me. A family. I've heard it said that 'A family isn't always blood…it's the people in your life that want you in theirs; The ones who accept you for who you are. The ones who would do anything to see you smile and love you no matter what.' That's you guys."

We are so glad to be a family to the more than 500 students we have ministered to in the last 40 shows and the more than 100 students we will minister to in a given year.  Thank you for your continued prayer and financial support of this ministry.

We are currently in production for

33 cast members (Grade 1-6),
18 are new to our theatre, and 10 do not attend church regularly.

Schoolhouse Rock, Live! Jr. will perform May 30-June 1, 2019
Tickets go on sale soon!
