We had a blast out on tour with Reverend Horton Heat and the Legendary Shack Shakers! One highlight for us was playing at the Stanley Hotel, and we had fun putting together our own little tribute to The Shining! We're taking some time off during May to keep writing for our new album, but we have some fun stops scheduled in Wisconsin, Illinois, Nebraska, and Kansas. And because none of us can sit still for too long, there are several opportunities to see us perform with different groups too! Andy has just embarked as a special guest drummer for the inimitable James Leg! And Kellie has been honing her upright bass chops with Ryan Koenig and the Goldenrods. John has been busy uncovering the mysteries of the universe, but the editor of Welp City News is not authorized to divulge this information.
Then come June, we're joining back up with Reverend Horton Heat, alongside Bloodshot Bill and The Delta Bombers, where we'll be making our way through the northern/ western US and western/ central Canada.

Y'all asked for it, and we listened! We've had a "few" van problems in the past (dozens of break downs, losing wheels on the highway 2 separate times, a full van rollover, and more) and after many suggestions from friends and fans, we finally wrote a song about it, lovingly entitled "Van Killer". In addition to the song, Andy designed a shirt and our friends at Merchop printed it for us! The new shirt will be available at our upcoming tour dates, and it's also available in the webstore as a shirt and hoodie.

If you’ve ever met me in person, I have probably spoken about my love for breakfast foods. I am a breakfastman, after all. Here’s my go to breakfast casserole recipe. WARNING: this WILL feed a small army of houseguests/family.
-Andy
In order of assembly:
<cast iron skillet>
(5) wee slices of butter
(1) baguette (1 in. slices, then quartered)
(1lb) breakfast sausage, cooked and cooled
(2oz) goat cheese or some other soft melty cheese, spread/sprinkled around
(12) eggs + 1c milk + S&P to taste, beaten
The eggs shouldn’t totally cover the bread/sausage/cheese. They’ll rise a bit and also the crispy bits that stick out of the top are the best part.
Bake at 375 for 30 min, then add another type of cheese (could be cheddar, I’m using oaxaca) on top. I added about a cup. Stick that bad boy back in the oven, another 15 min or so until it looks like this: (see above!)
