1. This year’s St Michael & All Angels Lent Appeal is in aid of Christian Aid's Community Partnership Programme in Ghana, where almost half of young people are unemployed. We have personal links with Ghana and the target is £5,000 over two years. If we can raise the last £2,000, it will trigger matched funding, which would raise our £5,000 donation to £20,000! You can now donate online on our

2. Tonight Friday March 29th at 7pm at St Michael & All Angels, Zoe White Yoga presents a two-hour Yin Yoga with mindfulness session. For more information and booking, contact Facebook @zoewhiteyoga or email

3. Also tonight Friday 29th at 7:30pm at St Peter’s Church, W6 9BE, there’s a Mothering Sunday recital with Milly Forrest
, soprano; Hannah Crerar, mezzo soprano; Joseph Ramadan, pianist. Free admission, retiring collection
 
4. Also tonight Friday 29th at 7.30pm at the Tabard Theatre, opposite St Michael & All Angels, and tomorrow at 4pm and 7.30pm, it’s the last three performances of the comic drama Carl’s Story by Gavin Miller.

5.  On Saturday March 30th at 7.30pm in St Michael & All Angels Church, there’s A Celebration of Youth Music with musicians from The Amber Trust and the remarkable Fukushima Youth Sinfonietta, which was formed after the 2011 earthquake and tsunami in Japan. The orchestra is in London to perform at the Queen Elizabeth Hall – you can hear them at St Michael’s in aid of the Amber Trust and Keys of Change.

St Peter's Church, Southfield Road, the Addison Singers present their 'Spring Light' concert. Tickets £12 (plus booking fee)

6. On Sunday March 31st at 1am, clocks go forward by one hour
            At 10am at St Michael & All Angels Church, there's a Family Mass for Mothering Sunday, with singing led by The ChoristersMass setting: Mass of Blessed John Henry Newman: Macmillan. Magnificat in F: George Dyson. A Grateful Heart: Mary Plumstead. Preacher Fr Edward Barlow. 
            It’s also the deadline for Children’s Church members to design a poster for WaterHarvest, to provide clean water in a village in India.
            Thanks to everyone who has registered for the new St Michael & All Angels Electoral Roll. If you haven’t yet done so, please pick up a form in Church and return it on Sunday, or to the Parish Office. Time is running out!

7.  At 6pm on Sunday March 31st at St Nicholas Church, Chiswick Mall, there is a Conversational Evensong with Lord MallochBrown
, who served in the United Nations under Kofi Annan, and in the Foreign Office. More details
            At 6.30pm at St Michael & All Angels Church there is Choral Evensong. Preacher: Terri Miller continues the Lent series, ‘How I Pray’. Services at St Michael's.
 
8. From Monday April 1st till Saturday May 11th, in the atrium of the Clayton Hotel, ‘Chiswick Through the Camera Lens’ 
opens. It’s a free exhibition of portrait, landscape and surreal photographs, shot in Chiswick and brought together by The Chiswick Calendar. It includes photos by Julia Fullerton-Batten, Kelvin Murray, Richard Bradbury, Jon Perry and others. See more
 
9. From Wednesday April 3rd to 6th at St Michael’s Hall, Elmwood Road, 
St Michael's Players  present "Colder than Here" by Laura Wade - a black comedy about life, death and not coping very well with either. Tickets available online now.

10. From Wednesday April 3rd, the Grove Park Café Conversation organised by Louise Kaye for those seeking companionship at Cafe Grove, 7 Grove Park Road, will take place earlier - from 2pm to 4pm. The Monday one in Avanti café, Bedford Corner, South Parade, W4 1LD, will continue to be held from 3pm to 5pm. 
 
11. Also on Wednesday 3rd from 8.30 to 9.30pm in St Michael & All Angels Parish Hall, Regroovinate – getting women dancing – has a special Sounds of the Sixties event.

12. On Thursday April 4th, at the National Archives Kew
, a new exhibition opens about the Cold War. It will run until the end of November 2019, the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.
 
13. Also on Thursday 4th at 7.30pm at Our Lady of Grace & St Edward, Chiswick High Road, there’s the next in a series of Lent talks on Pursuing Integrity. Integrity in Journalism:

15. Also on Thursday 4th at 7.3opm there is Jazz At The George IV– The Oriana Curls Trio
. Vintage vocals evoking Montmartre and the American speakeasy from a multi-talented French singer and violinist, organised by The Chiswick Calendar.  Tickets.
 
16. On Saturday April 6th at 10.30am at St Michael & All Angels, Gardening volunteers are sought to work on the church herbaceous border (and Saturday April 6th): help is needed with digging over parts of the border. Contact Susan Hunt: email -

17. On Sunday April 7th after the 10am service at St Michael & All Angels, there’s a Lent lunch at the home of Carol and Torin Douglas supporting its Lent Appeal for Christian Aid in GhanaIf you’d like to come, sign the list at the back of church. If you can’t come, please donate online
 
18. Also on Sunday 7th, it’s the 
Oxford & Cambridge Boat Race. At Chiswick Pier, you can watch the start and finish on their big screen and see live action as the boats pass. From 12.30pm with BBQ, food and drinks being served. The women’s race starts at 2.15pm, the men’s at 3.15. James Cracknell will be the oldest-ever competitor.
            
RNLI is the official charity of the Boat Race for 2019 and income raised will go to the Chiswick Lifeboat Station. They are seeking volunteer fundraisers to help on the day as Bucket Collectors in Fan Zones, along the race course, and in train and tube stations (slots ahead of the race and after). If you can give support, please let the RNLI Community Support team know at communitysupportteam@rnli.org.uk.

- Saturday April 13th at 6pm in St Michael & All Angels Parish Hall, Bridge String Quartet and actor Christopher Kent present Haydn: Seven Last Words with readings of classic and contemporary poetry, in aid of the Samaritans. Tickets online here £10 - £15 at door. 
 
- Friday April 26th from 7.30pm at St Peter’s Church, Black Lion Lane, W6Auction of promises for the church, with bubbly and substantial canapes. Bidding starts at 8.15 pm led by Sotheby’s Auctioneer Philip Hook.  Variety of lots, holiday homes, dinners, golf days and signed drumsticks by Roger Taylor (Queen). Tickets £10 at door. 
 
- Monday April 29th. 
St Michael's Men's Society has organised a joint outing with St Michael's Women's Group to Royal Windsor Racecourse. Join us for a free and fun day of racing at this beautiful course. - Saturday May 11th at 7pm. 
St Peter’s Church HallSouthfield Road – St Peter’s Annual Quiz Night. Tables for six-to-eight people available, or individual tickets.  £15 per head to include a fish and chip supper with puddings. Cash bar & raffle - profits to be shared with charity. Doors open 6.30pm. Quiz starts 7pm. Tickets available now online. More info available from the Parish Office.
 
- Friday June 7th to Sunday 23rd. Bedford Park Festival (Green Days: June 8th and 9th; '140 years' Festival Mass: June 23rd): unwanted Christmas gifts, CDs and DVDs - please place in the box at the back of church ready for Green Days.
