#EnvolveEDU & the Ecosystem

Word of the Week

Bartering is one of the oldest forms of trade, promoting relationships between trading partners and optimizing the allocation of resources.

Especially among start-ups, bartering can be an effective and mutually beneficial practice.

After the financial crisis of 2008, many small to medium size business owners reverted to the practice of barter to conserve cash while also developing barter partnerships that can refer services to cash-paying customers.

Economic conditions have greatly improved but barter is still common practice. Check out this article to see what's ahead in a barter economy!

Envolve USA - Titan Generator & Announcement of Entrepreneurs of Color Fund

Envolve had an amazing time connecting with entrepreneurs at SXSW through the Titan Generator.

We are thrilled to collaborate with Generation Titans, Google, Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights, and the Soze Agency. Tackling the issues of access to necessary mentorship, capital, and other resources, we embarked on a day-long "micro-accelerator" in support of entrepreneurs of color as they worked through navigating ecosystem challenges, engaging in networking, and establishing meaningful business solutions.

We are thrilled to be a part of the founding cohort of members and look forward to continuing this movement! We have pledged $12,000 in funding for Titans and Google will match for a total funding of $24,000. We're encouraging other organizations to match our funds, particularly for entrepreneurs of color.

For more information on how to become a Titan, click here. This fall, there will be more announcements regarding funding and support.
