ENVIRONMENTAL CLIMATE ACTION

Clean Energy Bill in Peril, calls needed

The Clean Energy Jobs Act (CEJA) has passed the Senate and has enough support in the House, but is being blocked in Committee.  If it does not get a vote by April 8, it will be dead.

WE CANNOT WAIT ANOTHER YEAR!

If you care about climate change, make these calls or emails as soon as possible.

1) Call or email Speaker Busch and tell him to give CEJA a vote - we can't wait until next year.  410-841-3800 or  michael.busch@house.state.md.us
2) Call or email Chairman Dereck Davis and tell him to give CEJA a vote - we can't wait until next year. 410-841-3519  or dereck.davis@house.state.md.us

If you live in District 13, please call/email two of your delegates who are on the Rules Committee and can help get this to the floor - they support the bill, but we need them to really fight for it.
* Call or email Del Atterbeary to thank her for her past support of the Clean Energy Jobs Act and ask her to demand that it be given a hearing. 410-841-3471 or Vanessa.Atterbeary@house.state.md.us
* Call or email Del Pendergrass to thank her for her past support of the Clean Energy Jobs Act and ask her to demand that it be given a hearing.  410-841-3139 or shane.pendergrass@house.state.md.us
DEFEND DEMOCRACY
It's Still Mueller Time

Attorney General Barr provided only a 4-page summary of the nearly 400-page report from Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team. House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler set a deadline of this Tuesday, April 2 for the full report. Barr said he would need until mid-April for redaction; Nadler does not approve:

“As I informed the attorney general earlier this week, Congress requires the full and complete Mueller report, without redactions, as well as access to the underlying evidence, by April 2, …. That deadline still stands.”

If Barr misses the deadline to #MakeItPublic, a national coalition of progressives, including Indivisible, plans to mobilize Thursday, April 4, at 5 pm local time.

Trump has made Schiff his new favorite target largely because Schiff is his polar opposite, ie smart, articulate and honest.  If you want to show your support consider calling or writing him.  This link allows you to do either.  If you want to write just use the pull down menu in the center of the link.
