WALKING A SACRED PATH THROUGH LENT
Join your fellow parishioners in a weekly self-guided Lenten Labyrinth Journey, which began on Ash Wednesday and will continue through Maundy Thursday. Participate in this contemplative Lenten Journey facilitated through stations each week in our Labyrinth and Memorial Garden -- all are invited to access the Labyrinth anytime during weekday office hours or on Sundays. You can find printed guides in the pews this Sunday as well as outside the entrance to the Labyrinth throughout the week. APRIL 3: THE RT. REV. BRIAN L. COLE
The Rt. Rev. Brian Lee Cole was ordained and consecrated fifth bishop of the Diocese of East Tennessee on December 2, 2017. Bishop Cole has under his pastoral and administrative care 51 parishes and worshiping communities in East Tennessee and Northern Georgia. In 1992, he earned a Master of Divinity at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, with additional studies in Anglican Church History at The University of the South School of Theology, Sewanee, in 2001. Ordained a priest in 2002, Cole served as vicar at Church of the Advocate, a worshiping community for homeless in downtown Asheville, North Carolina. From 2005 to 2012, Cole was sub-dean at The Cathedral of All Souls in Asheville. He served as rector at The Church of the Good Shepherd in Lexington, Kentucky, from 2012 until his election as bishop, in addition to serving the Church as a deputy to General Convention and a member of the Executive Council. He is an associate of the Order of the Holy Cross.

Bishop Cole’s lecture will focus on the future of the church, giving attention not just to the challenges the church faces in the 21st century, but also to the opportunities for growth, change, and health that the present and the future provide.

Great Expectations is a monthly gathering for those 55 yrs and over for the purpose of fellowship and education. Each month, we meet for a time of socializing, lunch and a short program. This month, we will welcome Tina Walker from the YMCA to discuss the importance of senior exercises and will also perform a demonstration. Soup and Salad Lunch ($6). All are invited to invest their sweat equity in the parish on Spring Cleaning Day – Saturday, April 13, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Bring your buckets! Along with other cleaning, we will wash all the wood in the Nave and Narthex windows. Come for an hour or come for the morning ― we will put you to work! TROTTER SCHOLARSHIP FOR COMMUNITY SERVICE
Through the blessings of the Scholarship Program honoring W. Henry and Charlotte L. Trotter, 122 awards have been made to students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate studies who have evidenced a commitment to community service. Scholarships will be awarded for the 2019-2020 academic year. Awards for post-secondary education are based on applicants meeting the requirements of community service. Maundy Thursday Prayer Vigil (7 p.m. - 7 a.m.)
This year, we will again keep awake and pray with Jesus by holding a Prayer Vigil throughout Maundy Thursday night into the morning of Good Friday. Parishioners are invited to sign up to come and sit before the reserved sacrament for an hour — or more if they desire. There are one hour spots available for at least two people at a time from Maundy Thursday evening until Good Friday morning. We will keep the church open (and secure) for as long as “two or three are gathered together.” Sign up on the schedule in the Narthex or by emailing Fr. Joe: woodfin@stpaulschatt.org

The VBS theme this year is Roar! Life is Wild, God is Good. Get ready for an African adventure that engages the whole herd! Life is sometimes wild, but God is always good! ($30)

St. Paul’s Fun Camp is a week full of high energy games, arts, and crafts, and having a super fun time with your friends at church! Activities will include tie-dye, lots of sports and games. Join us for Fun Camp! ($50)
